George Kramer
President
George Kramer is responsible for leading the Aecon Group's US Buildings Division.
Kramer has responsibility for the strategy, development and delivery of a full range of building construction services to clients in the Western Region.
Kramer has been president since 2000. He joined Frontier Construction (predecessor to Aecon Buildings Inc) in 1993 as project manager and named interim general manager of the division in 1997.
In addition to his current role, Kramer serves as a member of the Aecon Group Senior Management Team. Kramer has held the roles of Managing Partner in Transcoastal Capital (real estate development), Managing Partner and Director representing Aecon's 50% interest in Group West Associates (architectural & interior design firm), Director of Scott Management (BC, Canada general contractor/construction manager) and District Vice President for the Associated General Contractors.
Kramer holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management from the University of Washington and is a graduate of the General Management Program at Harvard Business School.
Neal Ruud
Vice President
A lifelong resident of Western Washington, Neal has a Bachelor's Degree in Building Theory and Practice from Washington State University. He has ties to the industry — and the region — that run deep.
He started as an estimator in 1977, earning a reputation as a practical, knowledgeable evaluator of cost, technique, scheduling and historical data. At Aecon Neal also manages the critical preconstruction phase of each project, evaluating constructability, logistics, site analysis, schedule impacts and construction costs.
